Dust Solutions Inc (DSI)

Dust Solutions Inc (DSI) are manufacturers of several unique and effective dust control technologies such as Dry Fog systems, NESCO misting systems and DustTamer windfences as well as now high pressure fogging systems. They have a global representation and have supplied systems for all of the major miners, quarries and ports, including in Australia BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, First Quantum, Goldfields, Newcrest, Newmont, Mineral Resources and many more.

We work with DSI to offer the best solution for you.

  • DSI manufacture Dry Fog systems, which are water/air only suppression systems that are up to 90% effective at eliminating respirable dust from operations. We have supplied these systems to BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore and most of the rest of the larger miners. These have been applied very successfully in many applications such as ROM bins, transfers, reclaimers, train and ship unloading and loading. They are very effective when used in the right way, and when considered at the design stage, we generally work with the engineers to ensure the best outcome. Dry Fog works very differently to water sprays, it sometimes takes a bit of explaining about how the systems work, but they do work well and we have plenty of examples.

  • DSI produce DustTamer Windfences which are more and more becoming a feature of mine and port operations to prevent dust migration from stockpiles, materials handling operations and from ROM pads and bins. They are used to prevent dust pick-up from stockpiles, as well as around ROM bins to minimise wind interaction with truck dumps alongside DSI’s other dust control measures.

  • DSI also make NESCO misting systems. They are suited to mine crushing plants, quarries and aggregate plants, and can reduce dust significantly throughout the operation from a single system. These systems work by controlled moisture addition and by using high pressure that allows penetration into the material where needed, as well as good atomisation to produce small enough droplets to counteract visible fugitive dust.

Dust supression Wind fence

DustTamer Wind Fence systems succeed where other long standing methods fall short.  By efficiently reducing wid speeds below the particle uptake point, DustTamer wind fences solve the fugitive dust problem by keeping particulate grounded in the first place.  Through the use of innovative and sustainable technology, worker safety is enhanced, product losses are cut, and environmental regulatory standards are met for the benefit of your business and the environment

  • Sturdy Construction

  • Unyielding to Exposure

  • Resilient

  • Maximum Coverage for Cost

  • Flexible Options

Dust supression systems use ultrasonic, air-atomizing nozzles, compressed air and plain water to produce a dry fog (1 - 10 micron droplet size) that agglomerates to airborne dust particles (particulate matter 10 microns or smaller - PM-10 and PM-2.5).  The fog and dust agglomeration increases the weight of the airborne particles at the source, causing the particles to fall back into the process.  We only wet the dust, not the material, resulting in low water consumption and no significant wetting of the product.

  • Low Water Usage

  • Material and Equipment Stays Dry

  • No Product Loss

  • Dry Fog Works in Harsh Environments

Dust created by the movement or processing of materials in a facility can cause significant environmental issues for workers and surrounding communities.  Additionally, material lost to dust creation negatively impacts operational productivity and costs.

DSI's Nesco Water spray systems enable you to meet OSHA and local DEP requirements and improve throughput, profitability and employee safety for your operations.  They are effectively utilized on many industry applications around the world such as mining, ports/terminals and power generation facilities.

  • Improves Visibility for Operations

  • Less Fugitive Dust on Machinery

  • Reduce Material Spillage

  • Safer Facilities and Work Sites
